But it is pigment, not hair. There is no length, no texture and nothing to run your fingers through, and it only reads correctly at stubble length — so it commits you to that haircut for years. A patch gives you hair you can style. Which one is right depends entirely on the look you want, not on which is technically better.

- It is also the wrong purchase if you are in the early diffuse stage with hair still covering the area. A patch bonded over living hair means bonding adhesive against follicles that are still working. In that situation we usually recommend waiting, or a clip-in topper if you want coverage without commitment.
