When a hair bonding is the wrong answer
We would rather lose an order than fit the wrong system, so here is where this service stops being the right purchase.
Re-bonding is not the service you need if the base itself has failed. Bonding a torn perimeter or a split poly edge just re-attaches a unit that will lift again within days, and you will have paid for a service visit that solved nothing. If the base is damaged, book a repair first.
It is also not the answer for scalp irritation. If you have persistent redness or pustules at the perimeter, the fix is a change of adhesive family and a break, not a fresh bond over an inflamed scalp. We will decline the appointment and look at the scalp instead.
Aftercare schedule for a hair bonding
The purchase price is only part of what you commit to. This is the servicing rhythm that keeps a hair bonding at the top of its performance range rather than the bottom.
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Every 3-4 weeks | Coastal wear interval. Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai humidity shortens every adhesive's rated life. |
| Every 4-8 weeks | Pune interval. Drier air lets the same adhesive hold noticeably longer. |
| Every visit | Solvent removal, base deep-clean, scalp inspection and a hairline re-trim before re-attachment. |
| As needed | Adhesive family change. Perimeter redness is usually sensitivity to one product, not overuse - switching solves it more often than reducing wear time. |

Hair Bonding & Re-bonding — questions we get asked
- How often should I re-bond?
- Every three to six weeks in Mumbai humidity, four to eight in Pune.
- Can you service a system I bought elsewhere?
- Yes, as long as the base is still structurally sound.
- Does the adhesive damage my own hair?
- Adhesive on skin does not. Damage comes from pulling systems off dry — which is why we do the first removal with you.
