When a custom wig is the wrong answer
We would rather lose an order than fit the wrong system, so here is where this service stops being the right purchase.
A full wig is more than you need if you still have hair around the sides and back. That hair can anchor a topper or hold a smaller system, which is lighter, cooler and cheaper. Buying a full cap when you have usable anchor hair means paying for coverage you are not using.
If you are ordering for medical hair loss, the wrong move is waiting until treatment has started. Once your own hair has gone we are matching from a photograph rather than the real thing, and colour, density and grey percentage all become approximate.
Aftercare schedule for a custom wig
The purchase price is only part of what you commit to. This is the servicing rhythm that keeps a custom wig at the top of its lifespan range rather than the bottom.

- Yes, and we recommend it. Ordering while you still have your own hair means we can match colour and density exactly.
- How do I sleep in it?
- You do not. A full wig comes off at night and goes on a stand so the cap holds its shape.
- Human or synthetic for medical use?
- Human hair is more natural but heavier. Many medical clients keep one of each.
